Foothills Farm is a full-service equestrian facility located in Chelmsford Ontario, in the heart of Greater Sudbury’s equine district. Nestled in the foothills of the Boreal forest (hence our name!), Foothills Farm boasts an Olympic-sized indoor riding arena and miles of beautifully maintained hacking trails. Whether you’re a seasoned competitor or new to the sport of riding, Foothills Farm offers a full range of services to meet your individual riding goals.
Foothills Farm hosts a number of competitions and clinics throughout the year, providing students with an opportunity to improve their skills. Visit our Events section to learn more. While we regret that we do not rent horses for trail rides, we welcome the general public to visit and learn about horses and riding in a safe and fully supervised environment.

Foothills Farm is also home to the Sudbury Pony Club. The Sudbury Pony Club is a branch of the Central Ontario Region of the Canadian Pony Club. “Pony Club” is an international voluntary organization for young people up to 25 years of age who are interested in riding, learning about and/or caring for horses or ponies. The Sudbury Pony Club has been in operation since 1969, and includes members from the Azilda, Chelmsford, Garson, Hanmer, Lively, Sudbury and Val Caron areas. Pony Club is an excellent opportunity for young people who own, ride and/or wish to become involved with horses/ponies in a safe and educational environment.
